The Malibu Merritt Estate
United States / California / Malibu
Set above the Malibu coastline, this newly built Mediterranean-inspired estate offers a rare balance of architectural warmth, true privacy, and sweeping ocean views.
Overview
Designed as a secluded compound rather than a traditional home, the property unfolds around a grand motor court and central courtyard before opening to expansive terraces, manicured lawns, and a resort-style pool with ambient night lighting overlooking the Pacific and surrounding canyons.
Inside, soaring ceilings with exposed reclaimed wood beams, stone archways, and walls of glass create a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. The open-concept layout is anchored by a chef’s kitchen featuring top-of-the-line appliances, including a L’Atelier range, and a fully equipped gourmet setup.
Multiple living and dining areas transition effortlessly outdoors to a series of terraces and lounge spaces, designed for both entertaining and extended stays. The primary suite serves as a private retreat, offering direct terrace access and panoramic ocean views.
Set behind a gated entry in a quiet, elevated enclave, the estate offers complete seclusion while remaining just minutes from Malibu’s beaches. With its expansive grounds, seamless indoor-outdoor living, and understated design, Malibu Merritt Estate is ideally suited for discerning travelers seeking privacy, space, and a refined coastal experience.
