Just west of Ocho Rios, a small lane leads to a brilliant oceanfront villa. An electronic gate opens to reveal the large and splendid private home named Malatai. Malatai has undergone an amazing renovation in 2019, turning this family-favorite villa into a modern, contemporary villa with the most beautiful beachfront. Stately lions, koi, and lily ponds grace the covered entrance. The interior spaces open to the piece de resistance: a 3,300-square-foot sugary white sand beach.

The entrance is sleek and airy and leads through the main reception area onto a full-length covered verandah and dining area. Fabulous new modern bathrooms and bedrooms all with private terraces or balconies with a sea view.

The free-form pool includes a shallow children’s section, separated from the deeper pool by an underwater partition. The overall property consists of the spacious main villa, separate air-conditioned fitness cottage, hot tub, large lawn with shaded sitting areas, and teak party deck with barbecue for outdoor entertaining by the sea. Beyond the lawn is the lovely white beach and excellent swimming water.

A long fence privatizes the pool and lawn. The fence is designed to be rolled open each morning to reveal a gorgeous all-day panorama of the beach and blue sea just steps across the soft grassy lawn. Day and night, the sounds of the sea echo the romance of this idyllic location.

Most notable is Alton, the head of the house and gourmet Chef, and his team, who will look after your every wish. The excellent staff can also arrange yoga instruction and spa treatments at the villa. 

Accommodations

Each bedroom features air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a 55'' flat-screen TV with cable access in queen bedrooms and a 65” flat-screen TV with cable access in king bedrooms. Sonos wireless speakers, safes, USB ports at side tables & telephones with intercom. All bathrooms feature fans, double vanities, a blow dryer, bathrobes, feature lighting, and mini steamers.
